YANMAR

YANMAR engines. Quality, Reliability and Durability

Yanmar engines are synonymous with quality, reliability and durability. Yanmar has over 100 years of experience in developing reliable, fuel-efficient engine technology for the power generation, marine and construction equipment industries.

The GY engine series combines HIMOINSA's expertise in the power generation industry with Yanmar's innovative technology and its consolidated track record in the design and manufacture of engines for marine applications, for which the company enjoys a solid reputation worldwide.

HIMOINSA's engineering team has worked closely with Yanmar to develop an engine solution that more than satisfies clients' needs in critical applications.

This technological collaboration has made it possible to offer engines with the most advanced performance in the power generation sector. The result is a compact, high-output engine with best-in-class fuel oil consumption (FOC) optimisation to ensure minimum operation costs (OPEX).

The GY is a new family of high-speed engines with a common rail injection system. It combines our unique combustion technology for high-speed engines with the reliability of medium-speed engines, ensuring high performance and efficiency, the ability to operate effectively in extreme conditions, a compact footprint, multiple fuel capabilities and low emissions.

Generating up to 2,200-bar injection pressure for maximum efficiency, it optimises the combustion pressure curve through multiple injections.

The HGY series delivers exceptional performance in terms of emissions and power density (up to 37.9kWm/L). The high specific power density reduces the carbon footprint and improves the overall life cycle.

Piston head design and fluid analysis are key to engine efficiency and performance. Yanmar has invested thousands of engineering hours in this stage of the development.

Fuel injection makes a huge difference in power generation applications where speed of response is vital. The ECU can react to sudden changes in speed in milliseconds and can start the engine in less than 8 seconds. This engine can perform within ISO8525-5 G3 class conditions.

The ECU includes several physical parameters for optimum control of the injection system and intuitive integrated diagnostic software that allows remote monitoring of the engine and generator set.

Other functions of these control units include the synchronisation of multiple generator sets, automatic load management and the ability to run in parallel with other generator sets or electric grids.

The status of these units can also be monitored remotely in real-time to optimise performance, and it is also possible to integrate hybrid systems such as solar power solutions and batteries for greater operational flexibility.

Our generator set management platform allows users to remotely monitor, control and maintain their electric generator sets. This comprehensive solution platform

provides real-time tracking of critical parameters, automatic alerts for failures or anomalies, and tools for proactive maintenance planning, all aimed at maximising operational efficiency and minimising downtime. Other advanced features include report generation and data analysis to enable informed decision making and ensure optimum generator set performance at any site. Our clients will be able to use this platform to access all the system data via an API.

Easy Maintenance and Extended Services Intervals

The new product has been designed from the outset to be easy to maintain and access. All engine consumables, such as the fuel and air filters and the oil filling point, are conveniently located on one side for easy maintenance.

Most parts are compatible across the different engine versions and models, with the aim of ensuring that our clients need to stock fewer spare parts and can share common components such as fuel filters, fuel pumps, injectors, etc. This sophisticated modular design provides for more efficient engine maintenance, a reduced spare parts inventory and faster technician training.

The HGY series offers extended service intervals, with a top overhaul interval of 10,000 hours and a major overhaul interval of up to 30,000 hours in continuous operation.

The HGY series includes generator sets with varying power outputs for different applications, including emergency power (ESP), continuous power (PRP), data centre power (DCP), COP, and LTP. This ensures the best solution for healthcare, data centres, capacity markets and other mission-critical sectors.
