Renewable and Synthetic Fuels
HGY Series has been designed to support the future adoption of alternative fuels such as HVO, gas and hydrogen. Our technology aims to minimize the level of pollutants such as nitrogen oxides (NOx), hydrocarbons (HC) and particulate matter (PM). All of our emissions-reduction technologies are accomplished through in-cylinder design improvements and precise
control of the combustion process.
All engines of the GY family – 12, 16 and 20 cylinders, have been configured to run with renewable fuels as Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil (HVO) to reduce emissions up to 90%.
The GY175L engine is the ideal for a sustainable power generation, offering gas and hydrogen with no compromise on performance. It is a significant step forward and will help support end-users in their strategy to attain Net Zero.
Regulations & Environmental Product Declarations (EPD)
The HGY generators add exhaust after treatment systems to meet European, German and British regulations for mid combustion plants that will run more than 300h or 500h. The new series includes EPA Tier2 certified version for emergency applications in the United States and also for compliance with NEA regulation in Singapore.

Optimising consumption reduces emissions.
There are several ways to reduce emissions and one of them is to develop efficient technology. One of the main drivers of our technical solution is the optimization of the fuel consumption. The HGY generators have been designed to be best-in-class in terms of fuel consumption and emissions, thanks to their new common-rail high pressure fuel injection system, piston design and high-power density. As a result, our new engines are more efficient and will help our customers to spend less money on fuel and reduce their carbon footprint.
Another effective way to reduce emissions is to ensure that the generators operate to optimum power required. Our engineering team supports each phase of the customer’s project to avoid any oversizing and ensure high performance and minimum emissions.

At HIMOINSA´s facilities we implement stringent waste management and recycling programs, promote the reuse and recycling of materials wherever possible. A great example of this is our new Power Solutions factory for the HGY Series. This new facility has been planned to reduce energy consumption and lower carbon emissions during the manufacturing processes.
Obtaining ISO 14001 certification not only allows us to comply with international environmental standards, but also contributes to the reduction of our carbon footprint and our desire to lead the way towards a cleaner and more sustainable future. Our production center
has been awarded with this prestigious certificate. This achievement is a statement of our strong commitment to environmental protection and the implementation of responsible business practices.
